Worship Service

Standish Congregational Church gathers Sunday mornings at 9:30 to worship God through Word, Music, and Fellowship.  We also offer evening services on Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, and other special occasions.   No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here! The Longest Night

Dec. 21, 7 p.m.  A service of music, readings (scripture and poetry), prayer, and candle lighting; quiet, contemplative "sacred space" on the evening of the Winter Solstice, a time for remembering people whom we dearly miss during the Holidays.  Guest musician this year will be violinist Aban Zirikly.  Rev. Natalie Blake, Pastor of the First Congregational Church of East Baldwin, will lead the service with Rev. Cynthia Biggar; and the SCC choir will sing.

Christmas Eve Service of Lessons, Carols, and Candlelight

Dec. 24 at 7 p.m., led by the Pastor, Readers, Minister of Music, and Choir.  Scripture Readings will be from the King James Version. The choir will practice at 5 p.m.  A light soup-and-sandwich supper, hosted by the pastor and associates, will be served in the Fellowship Hall at 6 p.m. for service participants and their families and friends.
