Standish Congregational Church
Our ecology task force works to help our church and community move toward more sustainable pathways by organizing electronic recycling and eliminating the use of paper goods from church functions.
"In Christ there is no longer Jew nor Greek, Slave nor Free, Male nor Female, for all are one." (Galatians 3:28)
The Standish Congregational Church declare that we are Open and Affirming. With the grace of God we welcome persons of every age, race, gender, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental capacity, and economic or marital status. We encourage all to participate fully in the life of the church in various ways including:
*committees and offices
*teaching our youth
*sacred union of same-sex
*equal consideration for employment
We welcome all members on an amazing journey of faith, following the example of Jesus, to end oppression and discrimination, reconciling ourselves through even greater understanding and mutual respect. We convenant together to practice a faith that unifies diversity and brings all of us closer together - one church in the name of God.

With funds donated by the congregation our Pastor provides Hannaford Gift Cards (designated "no alcohol, no tobacco") to people from the local community who come seeking help with food. Our church is sometimes able to meet other needs in our church and community through this fund. All names are kept confidential.
The Fifth Monday meal is offered on the fifth Monday of the month to those in the church and community in need of good food and/ or fellowship.
Our apple fritter booth is a staple at the Standish Summer Spectacular and also at the Village Square Fair. Stop by our booth to see how apple fritters are made and buy a few.
The Standish Summer Spectacular is an annual celebration hosted by the town of Standish. Our church sells goods at the craft fair.
